According to recent studies, 65% of future home owners declare having a “strong” to “very strong” sensitivity to ecological principles (1), and 42% believe that respect of the environment is the most important criteria when buying a new house or apartment (2).
Whether the intent is to economize energy, contribute to protecting the planet, preserve one’s health or simply to be in harmony with one’s personal life ethics, concern for the environment is more and more prevalent among our clients. This concern echoes our desire to strengthen Mas Provence’s eco-citizen approach to home building.
Indeed, the home building sector has a direct impact on environmental issues, not only from the stand point of the activity itself (water and energy consumption, waste production) but also from the stand point of houses which, once built, will prove more or less efficient in terms of energy savings, respect of the environment and preservation of inhabitants’ health.
As builders of “family homes” built to last, we wish to pass on to future generations houses which will be harmoniously integrated into our planet’s patrimony.
